Volkswagen ID.4 Service Intervals (2021-Current)

Like most EVs, the Volkswagen ID.4 requires relatively little maintenance, with services happening only once every 10,000 miles (or two years). You can plan for Minor Maintenance every 10,000 miles, and Standard Maintenance every 20,000 miles. Additionally, there are some time-based services which happen every two years, which we have also outlined.

Mileage-Based Services

Minor Maintenance (Every 10,000 Miles)

• Battery - Check 12 volt battery condition.
• Tires - Check condition and rotate as necessary.

Standard Maintenance (Every 20,000 Miles)

• Cooling system - Check frost protection and coolant level, replace coolant as necessary.
• Multi-point inspection - Inspect battery, brakes, fluids, lights, suspension, wiper blades, and more.
• HV Battery - Check high-voltage battery condition.
• 12V Battery - Check 12 volt battery condition.
• Tires - Check condition and rotate as necessary.

Time-Based Services

Every Two Years (regardless of mileage)

• Dust and pollen filter - Replace cabin air filter with new element.
• Brake fluid - Flush and replace brake fluid.
